I hope you are well and truly ready for an enjoyable holiday period! Today’s post is just a quickie really, since I want to let you know what’s happening over the next couple of weeks.
Firstly, I’ll be taking next week off, so there won’t be any new posts on the blog. I’ll be back with new content in the first week of January. I’m going to be recharging my batteries as much as possible and spending time with family, which I’m really look forward to.
Knowing how crazy things can get around Christmas, I hope you too find a little time to relax in the coming week or so. This time of year often throws our regular daily routines completely out, so you may well be finding it that much more difficult to spend any time being creative (or certainly not as much time as you would like).
If this is likely to be the case for you, and you are the kind of person who finds this frustrating, don’t worry. Ride out the busy festive period safe in the knowledge that come January I have a little challenge planned that will kickstart your creative practice for 2017. And I’m really excited for this!
So allow me to introduce the #CreativeJanuary Challenge!
Starting on 8th January, I’ll be sending out a creative prompt each day for two weeks. The idea is that you will spend a little time each day on a creative activity. I really want to bring a little creative spark to the dull days of January, and this seems to be the best way to do it!
These activities aren’t intended to be time consuming, so please don’t think you’ll be too short of time to get involved. (Although actually, you could spend as much time doing each one as you like.)
I’ll also be running a Facebook group for everyone taking part in the challenge to connect. I hope you’ll also share photos of your creative projects in there too. I know we’re all going to be interpreting the prompts really differently, so it’ll be very interesting to see!
